The internet

I know we are all warned of the pitfalls of using the internet but sometimes things happen that make you realise just how amazing it is!
We decided to place our VW Beetle on Cape Ads, a free classified website for the Western Cape area. Obviously, if its on the web, it can be picked up anywhere in the world. However, we were really surprised to receive a query from a guy in Argentina, who was flying to Johannesburg and wanted to drive to Durban. When he saw the photo of the car, he decided to fly to Cape Town instead, purchase the Beetle and then drive to Durban.
Our buyer turned out to be Santhan Naidoo, one of the nicest, friendliest people we've met in a long, long time (and that's saying something when you live in Gordon's Bay). He had already decided that the Beetle would be his, but when he saw it, he just had to have it. He's set off on a 4 day road trip and so he should be arriving in Durban before the end of the week to see his parents (who don't even know he's in the country). Good luck and a great holiday, and we hope to hear from him soon
